Ink Fading Techniques to redeem previously tattooed/microbladed eyebrows

Tattooing techniques and inks have evolved massively since I first picked up my machine eight years ago. Back then, cosmetic tattooing was just starting to take off — the education wasn’t there yet, the pigments weren’t what they are today, and everyone was still figuring it out.

Now? We know better. We do better. We have smarter techniques, safer formulas, and results that age beautifully instead of unpredictably.

If you’ve been thinking about starting fresh, laser-first fading is absolutely the way to go. I’ve been offering trauma-free fading for over three years now, and the results speak for themselves.

Laser-First

  • 15 min appointments

  • I walk you through the entire process to keep you as comfortable as possible

  • # of sessions needed can be predicted but not guaranteed & will vary depending on many different factors of the previous work done on the brows

  • Each brow takes about 20s of sharp snaps of pain & discomfort

  • Post laser you will experience skin redness and sometimes slight swelling usually gone within a few hours

  • Outer skin is not compromised so there is no aftercare or healing protocols, just 6 weeks wait time before next fading session or 8 weeks to retattoo

  • Makeup can be worn the next day

  • It is rare but if there is significant ink residual and laser is no longer effective alternative fading methods maybe suggested

Day 1 of your New Brows

  • Final Consultation: We discuss your end goal - what you want and don't want.

  • I design, and together we make any final adjustments.

  • I tattoo with precision and restraint so the healed result stays natural.

  • This is your "base coat" where we lay the foundation for your final result - then you go home to allow your new brows to fully heal.

touchup session

6-8 Weeks After Initial

  • Here is where we perfect.

  • You share with me anything you'd like to tweak.

  • I will refine any areas that healed lighter.

  • Make any adjustments to shaping, add density or intensity.

  • Final "dialing in".

1-3 years as needed

  • When you feel your ink has faded a fair bit

  • Strokes seem to be disappearing and losing crispness.

  • This time-line varies a lot client to client

  • Some skin types require more maintenance than others.

  • General rule of thumb, younger clients need more maintenance than more mature clients.
